You Can Never Have Too Much Happy

I wanted to make some bright and fun cards using the circles that you punch out when you mount the Kind and Cozy stamp set and also the Chalk Talk stamp set.  They are the middles of some images that you don't need, but are fun to play with anyway!

I chose Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Very Vanilla as my colors on both cards and added the sentiment from Really Yippee-Skippee and some candy dots.

As another element in my background, I used the splatter stamp that came with the March My Paper Pumpkin kit.

Serene Sympathy

This card was originally supposed be for a sketch challenge at www.technostamper.com but I didn't get to it on time so I just decided to make it anyway and share it late!

I sponged some Naturals Composition Specialty paper with Primrose Petals ink (I think I should have used a lighter color though and would do that next time).

Cutest Baby Ever

I went with lots of layers on the sentiment on this card!  The bottom is one of the Delicate Doilies die cuts, the next a 1 3/4" circle, the Artisan label punch, the 1 1/4" scallop circle and finally the 7/8" scallop circle.

I alternated with Stampin' Dimensionals and Snail adhesive to put the layers together.

Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight card stock

Using Those Scraps

I hate to throw away scraps that are left over from cutting card stock down although I admit sometimes the pile gets a little overwhelming and some of it ends up in the trash.

I decided to use some of the 1/2" strips that are left after doing some swap cards for convention on this card.  It would be fun to emboss them as well...

Supplies:
Happy Day
Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock
Coastal Cabana ink
Blossom Punch
Quatrefancy Specialty paper
Simply Pressed Clay
Buttons and Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds

Diagonal Thinking of You

I was playing with some diagonal cuts on another project and thought I would use the scraps for some cards.  I added this piece of Gingham Garden dsp to a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock that I embossed with the Modern Mosaic folder.

Then, I added my sentiment from Sassy Salutations and use the Artisan Label punch to create the edges on it, by only placing one side in at a time.

Lastly, I added a flower I made with the Simply Pressed Clay and Molds.  The clay had some Melon Mambo re-inker worked into it.

Colors:
Pistachio Pudding, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Whisper White  and Island Indigo (ink)

Scallop Circles

I think the bright colors in this specialty paper seem to call my name these days when we have too many rainy and cloudy days outside.

The scallop circles are made with the 7/8" and 1 1/4" scallop circle punches and the middle of the flower is from one of the itty bitty shapes punches.  I added some white with the White Gel pen.

Supplies:
Really Good Greetings
Island Indigo ink
Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party card stock
Quatrefancy specialty paper
7/8" scallop circle punch
1 1/4" scallop circle punch
itty bitty shapes punches
 White Gel Pen

So Grateful

There are those mosaics again...my UPS driver really needs to deliver some other papers and stamp sets!

I took some scraps of Quatrefancy specialty paper and Daffodil Delight to create the background on this card.  The sentiment is stamped in Smoky Slate using the Chalk Talk stamp set and is over the top of a Pool Party decorative label punch.

The mosaic punched pieces are in Pool Party and Melon Mambo.

Happy Day

The new In Colors have been really fun to play with as you can probably see by my posts lately!  For this card I chose Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding.

The sentiment comes from Happy Day and is on an apothecary accent die cut and the other images are from Mosaic Madness.

I added some texture with the Modern Mosaic folder on my background.

Party Time

The Late Night Stampers have a challenge this week to make party themed projects so I decided to make a few cards using the Sketched Birthday stamp set.

For the first card, I used the Positively Chevron background stamp in some Soft Sky ink and added some 2012- 2013 In color Designer series paper (Midnight Muse).  On the first and last card, I used my blender pen to color in the cupcake and piece of cake images.

Next, I used the Tape It stamp set for my background and the Birthday Basics designer series paper to make an invitation card.  I used the Deco labels and Apothecary accents framelits as well.

Lastly, I again used the Deco labels framelits and Birthday Basics dsp to make another birthday card.

Flood Waters

This spring has been challenging (to put it mildly) for those of us in Northeast North Dakota and some other places near us as well.  We saw 3 separate floods within a month's time that caused a lot of damage to homes, roads and fields.

To the kids, the flood waters meant really big puddles to play in and the boys decided they waited long enough to pull out their swimming suits and took a dip in the ditch.

It wasn't a long swim though since it was only 55 degrees that day!  Crazy boys...

A Day for You

This is a super simple card that uses the Clockworks and Really Good Greetings stamp sets.  I used Smoky Slate, Perfect Plum and Whisper White as my colors and added the sentiment with some dimensionals.

The circular image is actually the outline of the clock, but I masked the handle so the only part of the image that was stamped was the circle although it is hard to tell that with the sentiment over the top of it.

I think it would be fun with some different color combinations as well and might be a nice masculine card.

Just a Little Chalk Talk

Sometimes as much as I love a stamp set, I have a hard time figuring out what to do with it on a card.  This stamp from Chalk Talk is one that has been a struggle so far.

On one card, I stamped it with Basic Black ink and the other with Pacific Point after I stamped off on my scrap paper to lighten it.

Each one has some Quatrefancy specialty paper, hung up cute clips and a button with baker's twine.  For the one above, I used a strip of Primrose Petals and added some Gingham Garden washi tape behind the sentiment.

On the last one, I had a strip of Basic Black that had been embossed with the Honeycomb folder and used that as my accent piece behind the sentiment.

I can't wait to see more samples with this one!

June Stamp Club projects

This month, I focused on some Gingham Garden dsp and Gingham Garden washi tape for the layout and one of the cards.

On the layout, I used the Morning Meadow hostess stamp set for some Daffodil Delight flowers as an accent.

On the first card, the stamp set used is Happy Day and I put some washi tape on a scrap and then punched out my butterfly and added some basic rhinestones to it.

The last project was a sympathy card using some new colors (Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe) and the Simply Sketched and Love and Sympathy stamp sets.

Have a wonderful day!

Supplies:
Chalk Talk
Gumball Green classic ink
