More Good As Gold

Since I shared my altered version of the Good As Gold card kit (SAB 2014) earlier, I thought I would share the actual card the kit can make (although you can alter them til your heart is content!).

No stamping, just punching out pieces and adhering them to the card base.  Pretty quick and simple and I love the dots!!

Envelope Liner card

Even though the Holiday season is about over, I know I still use gift card holders for other occasions and thought I would share a quick one I made with the Good as Gold card kit (SAB 2014).

I took 2 liners and attached them with sticky strip to make a pouch and then folded over on of the top flaps.  Next, I cut one of the note cards down and covered the front of the pouch with it, added some Baker's twine and a few pieces from the card kit.  The insert is made from the other part of the note card I cut up and I taped the gift card to that.

Joy to the World

I am sharing a card that you have already seen today, but one that I love. Since it is fitting to the holiday coming tomorrow, I thought I would share it again.

The blog will probably be quiet for a day or two while we celebrate Jesus's birth with our families.

"Remembering with you that silent night so long ago and the Savior's gift of peace, hope and love that fills our hearts today." (sentiment from Evergreen stamp set.)

Merry Christmas!

You Make Me Happy

I love the blurred images in the Happy Watercolor stamp set (Occasions catalog) probably more than the flower images.

I used Bermuda Bay ink for the flower image and Soft Sky for the blurred image over the top.  The Decorative Dots folder (SAB 2014) is the texture on the Early Espresso layer behind the stamped images.

Supplies:
Happy Watercolor
Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky, Soft Suede ink
Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue card stock
In Color designer paper stack 2012-2014

Card Boxes

I had some requests for Christmas gifts of cards all boxed up and while I have some containers and boxes on hand for up to 6 cards, these will hold 10 to 12 of them.

I used the tutorial by LeAnn Greff, that you can find here for both these boxes and the ones I will show you tomorrow.

I just love this Winter Frost specialty paper and especially the color combinations!

Do you see an unfamiliar embossing folder used on these?  It is a Sale-a-bration item you won't want to miss out on next year!!

Repurposed box

There are so many times that I save a box from a toy or something else thinking I am going to make a project with it someday and don't, but this time I found a great way to use this wooden half box leftover from a puzzle my kids used to play with.

I used the Quatrefancy specialty paper window sheet to make a box cover and also decorated the wooden half with the same designer series paper.

It is perfect for cards and envelopes!

Supplies:
Joy to the World, Christmas Messages
Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo ink
Whisper White Strawberry Slush, Island Indigo card stock
Frosted finishes embellishments
organza ribbon
apothecary accents framelits
